New York based electrical engineer and designer Scott Amron has come up with an idea that could transform the way industries label fruit and vegetables. He has created the "Fruitwash Label"
Just as the name suggests, the new label dissolves with water, into an organic fruit soap, that helps in removing water-resistant wax, pesticides and fungicides from the fruit.
The process of adding water and rubbing the label triggers the dissolving action, which transforms the label into a fruit wash.
"I've always been discontent with fruit labels and felt they could do more than just display product info and be difficult to peel off," said Amron .
In an Indian kind of scenario, where fruits are most often sold from road-side stalls, having passed through many a grubby hand..... this is one invention that would really be wondeful... esp when trying to coax the kids to wash their fruit before eating !
The labels ingredients are currently being kept secret.
We wish him the best !
